"I will not keep silent because of Zion, and I will not keep still because of Jerusalem, until her righteousness shines like a bright light and her salvation, like a flaming torch." (Isaiah 62:1)
My hope and desire is that what I have penned down in the form of a video will help to connect your heart to Jesus…
He would continue to become more and more real to you in your life, in your heart, in your thinking, in your decisions, in your battles, in your breakthroughs, the Lord would be the glory running through at all!
I’m going to attach the inspiration behind this now .. Check out the song 🎶 Hope it blesses you, have a great day ☀️
I don’t know about you, but I certainly want to see the power of God in my life. And when I first saw this video I felt power pulsate through my being and I couldn’t help but share this in the hope that you would have the same experience and the same encounter too.
I see the likes of the Acts church in the apostle that is represented in this video and it gives me great hope for what God is doing in the earth right now and what he is going to do in the future , because this is just the beginning of revival🔥
So let’s spark off revival, wherever we are and become willing vessels for God’s power to flow through us also in whatever measure we are annointed to perform the works of Jesus – healing the sick, casting out demons, bringing about deliverances, sharing testimonies, letting God manifest miracles, praying and interceeding, declaring the Word of God not only over our lives but over our communities, our nations, other nations and really , really bringing glory to Jesus through all!
Ask God how he wants to use you and then just get ready to see how he will use you in the greatest and the most miraculous and majestic move of his Spirit that the world has ever seen…according to Scripture , the glory of the latter day shall be greater than the glory of the former day and the word of god will prove true…
I pray great and mighty breakthrough over your life and that wherever you go, you would let your light shine so that everyone would see the commendable and good works you do and praise the Father in heaven!
Not to the next beautiful destination, friend. But to the beauty of what has been thus far in 2022.
And trust me. Though it wasn’t perfect, there sure were some incredibly beautiful spots along the way.
So let’s hone in for a bit.
Shall we?
“The best is yet to come.”
The anthem of hope firmly fastened to my heart was how I entered into this new year.
God had been speaking to me throughout the previous season, and I knew my expectations from life moving forward were good & glorious.
Looking back to reflect & learn all that 2021 had packed within itself, and reaching forward to lay a hold of what 2022 promised was the delicate beam I found myself balancing on as I made my way into Jan ’22.
Ok.
Now brace for impact.
A day into the new year and I was tested positive with Covid.
Really now?
Friends, over the course of 2021, the Lord had taught me not only the power of his Word, but also the power of standing on his Word. Once he speaks, it is finished. The matter is settled.
So though I had begun this year with an unexpected diagnosis, I knew what the Lord had promised. I knew he would see me through yet another valley and that I would come out not only unscathed and unharmed, but seven times stronger than I was going in.
Because that’s how the Lord works. The restoration he brings about is always to a place better than before. As it is says in the Passion Translation,
“And then, after your brief suffering, the God of all loving grace, who has called you to share in his eternal glory in Christ, will personally and powerfully restore you and make you stronger than ever. Yes, he will set you firmly in place and build you up. And he has all the power needed to do this—forever! Amen.”
(1 Peter 5:10)
Friends, the Hebrew word for glory is – kabod. Experience with the Lord has taught me that whatever the enemy means for evil will not only be overturned by the hand of the Living God, but also used by him to bring about the manifestation of something good that releases his kabod, his glory into my life.
Please, Lord. Show me how.
God uses All Things
So though I got down with Covid, I found myself involved with two amazing challenges online – a 31-day Wisdom Challenge hosted by Pedro Adao as well as a 5-day Prophetic Planning Challenge by Roma Waterman.
Honing into the voice of the Lord was the number one thing that I needed spiritually, because where the enemy brings chaos, God brings clarity. So I learnt to lean in closer and hear what the Lord was saying and what I heard back from him, friends has given me much hope moving on, not only for a promised future, but for life as it happens – right here, right now.
Let me try and break down the fruit I have received thus far, from this rather uncommon time here:
1. Facebook Lives:
Watching a dazzling array of powerful speakers like Bill Johnson, Lisa Bevere and Heidi Baker across a time span of 31 days in Pedro Adao’s Wisdom Challenge during this time was the very thing that gave me the unction to go ahead with my first set of FB lives!
Though I was physically battling weakness, I experienced the Lord’s anointing work dynamically to create beauty within and bring meaning to an otherwise bleak landscape. I was truly reminded of what they say,
Every dark cloud has a silver lining.
2. The Book of Proverbs:
It was Dr Brian Simmons who in Jan beginning kicked off not only the Wisdom Challenge, but also my own personal time in the Book of Proverbs. Not only have I been enjoying my time in this book, but it has produced much fruit – challenging me, exhorting me, calling me higher.
Lady Wisdom, it seems, must be pursued. And this past season, I have found myself running.
3. Divine Rhythms of Grace, Rest & Play:
Learning to lay down creative projects for a bit and to prioritize instead my personal healing and recovery has been a huge part of my process thus far, but also a kind of eye-opener concerning the true heart of the Father towards me.
I’m learning, friend, that He isn’t after my works. He is after my wholeness – body, spirit and soul.
Author, Hannah Brencher encapsulates this sentiment beautifully as a part of her own personal journey with Jesus this season as she affirms,
I AM IMPORTANT + I MATTER
So with the right order of priorities, I now am learning to create in a grace-filled, restful and playful way through the Lord’s unforced rhythms that keep me whole, and don’t leave me broken.
Because the truth is works don’t validate me. Love does.
4. Soak-Sprout-Sautè:
I have also been learning from Jesus the art of soaking + sprouting lentils and whole grains. Finding myself in the kitchen – chopping and sautèing – a mixed bag of carrots, beans, cauliflower, capsicum and broccoli has been symbolic of a subtle, but sure shift from my tendency to have processed foods to a much more healthy intake.
Nope, I am not giving a class on cooking, but rather offering on a plate the perspective that my body (and yours) is not a dumpyard, it is a temple of the Holy Spirit – the very house of God.
And what he calls holy ground, I’m learning to too.
5. Switch the Lights:
I also learnt this season a very interesting fact – the white lights that we use in our rooms & homes after sunset deceive our senses into believing that its still day time, which causes us to remain subconsciously alert even after the sun goes down.
This increased brain activity at a time that God designed for our bodies to rest & renew, results in prolonged evenings/nights and crabby mornings.
So what’s the antidote?
A very small change has made a big impact for me, friend.
I decided to ditch the idea of using white lights after sunset, and stick to a yellow table lamp instead. One could actually try candles too. The idea is to create an environment that helps reduce activity and promote rest instead.
Switching the lights can most definitely switch the script.
The God of All Things
Candid confession time now.
Until recently, I believed that God was only interested in moving the big mountains that stood in my way, and didn’t really care that much about my day-to-day life.
But looking back on my experience as I write this today, I am so amazed, friend, at how wonderfully He has revealed himself to me to be both,
The God of the Practical + The God of the Miraculous
My experience in these times testifies that God is a hands-on Father. He is so crazy about His kids that He insists on being involved in the details of our lives.
From hiding tiny surprises for us as He meets our everyday needs to manifesting divine interventions that part the proverbial Red Sea, He is invested in it all as the God of the mundane, but also as the God of the mighty.
So as I wait upon Him to perform the signs, wonders & miracles that I know He has promised me, I am also deeply content in knowing Him as an intimately connected Father who walks with me in the cool of the day, and is hugely interested in revealing His kabod to me – not only one day when, but also right here, right now.
OK.
Enough said.
I’m taking my foot off the gas, friend. We’re almost there!
The ride may have been bumpy at times, I admit. But you chose to stick it out with me, and I commend you for it.
You’ve been brave.
So as I get ready to roll up the windows, I thank you for the priviledge of your company.
I do need you to know that I am proud of journeying alongside a worthy fellow traveller like you. The roadblocks and humps we have needed to manouver were very real, but so was the beauty and the glory that came with the trip.
All because of the reality of a God, who despite my taking leave right now, promises to be by your side forever – without a shadow of turning. So remember to let him in, friend and let him take over.
For its this kind of genius love that gets in the driver’s seat for us, and taking a hold of the steering wheel of our lives; leans over waiting patiently as we settle into the passenger seat, to hand us a steaming cup of mocha with a glint in his eye that lovingly says,
“Buckle up, babycakes. Its your Father who has the wheel.”
This is the Will of God for my life – 2 fish & 5 loaves of bread.
Maybe its true spiritually, but God doesn’t demarcate between the natural and spiritual like we do. It’s all one realm for He permeates all things, and uses the natural only to testify to the things of the Spirit.
So as I hobbled into the kitchen for my dinner, Mom had kept such a beautiful tray on display, friends.
2 fish & 5 loaves of bread.
(+ some excellently rich chocolate pastry, egg and mushroom soup 🍰🍞🍳🍜)
Sooo good!
This is where I discern Truth – for this must be the Will of God for my life!
😉😄
I had a gorgeous meal. For I not only relished what God had laid out in front of me, but also the Who it was that did.
I took many small bites as I ate today. I savoured the taste and took in the smell of this sumptuous meal. I looked up and thanked God. I saw Jesus face-to-face, smiled and then broke bread. We had communion.
Blessed, broken and given.
2 fish & 5 loaves of bread served to take me straight into the Heart of God.
And I kid you not. As I took time to commune with Jesus, the already sweet bread became that much sweeter and softer, and I knew that Heaven had just touched earth.
I learnt something more too.
I realised that sometimes all we have to do is be willing to open up our eyes to the miracle of the 2 fish & 5 loaves of bread that are right out in front of us. The tiny blessings, the slivers of grace ..
.. where we know He didn’t have to do it, but He did.
In the weeks leading upto this season, I have had the Lord connect to me at precisely 00:00 in the night. This encounter was initiated each night for three consecutive days in a row as I was in worship. I prayed for revelation, friends; and the Lord finally took me to the Cinderella story on the third night.
Awe struck at the King of glory speaking through not just the pages of Scripture, but even a fairy tale; I couldn’t possibly have kept this secret to myself. So here I am, spilling the beans.
What are You saying, Lord?
I found myself seeking Him. Obviously, I was both amused and curious.
The Lord soon after started showing me different aspects of the Cinderella story through Heaven’s perspective. And what has really been etched out in me as a result is the stunning revelation that the Church has crossed over into ‘The Cinderella Hour.’
The midnight hour.
What do I mean?
Let me give this a fair shot, friends.
The Transition and Transformation
Going over the Cinderella story, I realised that it was precisely at the midnight hour -the stroke of midnight – that she was compelled to leave behind the pretense and the facade of the counterfeit reality where she had morphed from the cinders’ girl that she really was into a beautiful princess to appear attractive to the Prince at the city ball. It was a reality that was fake because it was not her true reality.
Evaluating the sense of purification and refinement that the Church as the family of God has been going through, I knew the Lord had me onto something.
We dig. We discover.
So as I dove into the revelation that the Lord was leading me into, what dawned on me was the truth of our own journey of growth and metamorphosis in the seasons past.
What we have had to navigate our way through in the past 18 months or so has been anything but a cake walk. On the contrary, it has felt more like a steep incline, with dangers and toils strategically placed for us on every nook and cranny.
We have all as a result, found ourselves seeking and discovering God for ourselves. The sense of the pre-eminence of Christ in all things has escalated, and anything that would stand in the way has been torn down.
What sought to threaten us has time and time again, been thwarted by the intervening hand of God, and we have through it all, continued to see Him work all things together for our good and His great glory.
In a time where the sense of isolation has been pervasive, we have managed to find our sense of completion, wholeness and security in Christ only – our true home, our firm anchor and our safe refuge.
False constructs of identity imposed upon us by society, culture and the world have been demolished, thereby setting us free to enter into our truest identity as children of God.
Consequently, we have found ourselves transformed into the knowledge of what it really means to be sons and daughters of the King of glory. We have been compelled to trust Him at a whole new level, and He has not disappointed us.
Hope never will – Christ in us, the Hope of glory.
I write all this to say that what I believe the Lord is lovingly revealing is – us.
Yes.
The Revealing
I believe what God is doing is revealing His sons and daughters who having been through hell, fire and storm; have been found not only ‘still standing,’ but successfully having emerged as the ‘shining ones,’ taking on the likeness of their Father more and more, with each passing challenge.
Forgiveness, trust, surrender, humility, wisdom and love have all been tempered and forged into us and we have now hit ‘The Cinderella Hour.’
‘The Cinderella Hour’ is when we begin to truly behold and become the Lion and the Lamb. We know what the battle really is, and we fight accordingly. The Word of God informs us that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood. Our family, friends, co-workers and siblings are notour enemy. The Enemy is our enemy, and therefore we are fighting for our brethren, not against them.
If anything at all, our loved ones are our mission.
The Mission
Our mission is to reach, to love and serve, and to impact our world with the passion of Christ and the love of God. And as Children of God being made into the likeness of His image, this revelation beckons yet another question.
How did the Lord love and serve when He walked the earth in the Person of Jesus?
Like I said earlier – we dig, we discover.
Digging deeper with a shovel in hand, I unearthed some beautiful truth about how He did it. Led into the passage of Scripture where Jesus washes his disciples’ feet, I was deeply touched by the tenderness of the Lord’s compassion and the source of his motivation.
“Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God; so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist. After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him.”
(John 13:3-5)
A revelation about the Truth of his identity as the Son of God whose Father had put all things under his power, and that he was returning to the realm of glory to be seated at the right hand of God, provoked but one response from Jesus –
He bent down to wash His disciples’ feet.
He washed them all, despite the knowledge that one would betray Him (Judas) and yet another would deny Him (Peter). He went the distance to show them the full extent of His love for them, and did not consider washing their feet too menial or lowly a task. Rather, I believe that Jesus saw it as His mission – to love and serve all whom He was sent to, and therefore, lead with the heart of a servant-king.
As the Sovereign King, He came as the Servant-King.
Pastor Bill Johnson says something that resonates very deeply with the sentiment hidden within this revelation,
“True significance in Christ is never tarnished by servanthood. Rather, it is revealed through servanthood.”
And somewhere I learn the same from Cinderella.
Diving into her story brought forth much gold, friends.
The Reward of the Faithful
Cinderella truly personifies a heart of servanthood during her stay with her evil step mother and step sisters. She remained submitted to the call of God on her life with a pure heart and a clean conscience.
As a result, Cinderella’s humility + obedience + endurance was richly rewarded by God who not only delivered her post the Cinderella hour, causing the Prince from the city ball to find her, locate her and marry her; but also exalted her to a position where Cinderella, on the other side of forgiveness, was instrumental in finding suitable grooms and partners for her step-sisters.
“Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.”
(Matthew 23:12)
There is so much revelation here, friends. But one thing that really stood out to me was this:
The destiny of Cinderella was never thwarted because of seasons of hardship in her life. The opposite is true rather. For in the hands of God, her persecution only served as a platform for her promotion.
In fact, what the enemy meant to disqualify her became the very thing that God used to not only qualify her, but also promote her and enable her to enjoy the fruition of a hope-filled future.
How much more is that true for us then?
Reflecting back on the past 18 months and simultaneously preparing our hearts for what the Lord will do next is an interesting intersection indeed.
Though we may have been through more than we thought we even had the capacity to endure, we made it. God has brought us safely through. We are still standing and going farther with the Lord than we had originally aspired for. That’s Good News!
We have not come this far for nothing. Some of the greatest moves of God, I believe, are right out ahead of us. The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand, and we who are the Light of the world cannot be hidden – we must be revealed.
And this is where the story gets good.
For the unveiling of Jesus Christ will never be complete without the revealing of His Sons & Daughters. It’s what it means to be the family of God and the household of God. It’s what speaks to our legitimacy as His children. It’s what happens when both, the Bridegroom and the Bride are partnering and preparing together.
Clothed in the glory-garments of righteousness and fully immersed in the consciousness of our truest identity as Sons & Daughters of the King of glory with Heaven as our home, I believe, we have been positioned to be released into the earth to effectively love and serve those that we have been called to.
For such a time as this.
P.S:
I have been writing for nearly 2 years now friends, and this has been the first Prophetic Word that the Lord has given me to share. It is not only a personal revelation for me this season and beyond, but I do believe that it carries some very weighty revelations and truths for all of us as the Body of Christ. I do hope and pray that the Holy Spirit will give you insight as you journey on and not only light up your path, but also light up your world.
For you are the Light of the world and a city on a hill cannot be hidden.
Funnily juxtaposed with the sunny disposition of this design is the mysterious revelation that accompanies it at a time that I candidly confess, was anything but sunny.
If anything at all, it has been fiery.
A fiery trial, some would say.
Going through something like this is not something I would opt for, but when the enemy does wage war, I gang up with Jesus.
Because He wins every battle he ever wages.
So at the very onset of this trial, I prayed to the Lord, friends; and asked Him to not only get me through the string of the impossible situations that seemingly stood like giants before me that came up overnight, but also bring me out with greater spiritual fruit than I had when I went in.
It’s literally how the Lord makes the devil pay.
So I decided to cash in on this Truth.
Today I write to you as a child of God with concrete evidence in her hands that God is Good, God does Good and God works all things together for our good and His great glory.
As He has safely brought me through this trial, friends; I have had to understand the difference between what I felt and what I knew to be Truth at another level.
I will explain as we go on.
With a high value for the revelation-light of Truth, friends; I love it when the Lord makes a wonderful invitation for us to seek Him throughout the pages of Scripture, and one of my most deeply personal favorite verses is thus,
“He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him.”
(Daniel 2:22)
So when everything came up under siege overnight, I mentally scanned the Truth thatthe Lord had already deposited in my spirit.
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
(Romans 8:28)
If this is true and it is, so the only valid question to ask was,
If this is what the enemy has done, Lord; then how do You want to redefine this narrative according to Your Promise of Romans 8:28?
How will You work all this together for my good and Your glory?
I heard the Lord say,
“With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
(Matthew 19:26)
Each time that I doubted the Lord during my trek through this trial, the Holy Spirit would gently remind me of this Truth from Matthew 19:26.
I tried to remember the memorial stones that the Lord enabled me to pick up especially this year. Calling to mind testimonies of the Lord’s faithfulness is a sure fire way to stir up faith at a time when little else is needed.
As I would do this along with confessing the Promises of the Lord over my life, I found myself in battle. On the one hand, I knew God was Faithful. He saw me through then, He will see me through now.
But it was also at this precise juncture that the enemy tried to intimidate me with the size of the giant in front of me. I have slain giants before with the Lord, but this one?
I suddenly wasn’t too sure.
On a particularly anxious day, I stumbled over a podcast from Christine Caine. She said something that I felt was straight from the heart of God. I made a note of it. The next day, the message from the Lord’s heart again caught my attention as Christine shared precisely the same thought on her Insta page.
Let me paste it below for you.
It struck home.
I felt bolts of lightning go off in my head as I realised the Truth that it was never the size of the giant in my life that determined my destiny. Rather, it was the size of my God that did.
The God in me. The God through me. The God around me.
With new found faith, I found the courage to believe again. Putting my hands in the hands of Jesus, I decided to let Him walk me through this and teach me everything that was on His heart for me.
After all, this giant may be too big for me. But it was nothing compared to the bigness of my God.
“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
(Exodus 14:14)
Because it is the Lord who fights for me, I need only to be still…
What does that mean?
I believe that what the Lord was and still is saying through this is that because it is Him who fights for me, I have no need to be anxious about anything. The enemy is already defeated in Jesus’ Name, and the irrevocable victory of the Cross is already my portion in Christ. Therefore, the outcomes of my life situations and circumstances are already secure in the hands of my God.
But what about the process?
This is where friends, I believe we really get to meet Jesus face-to-face. The Lord is a God of process. As surely as He kept affirming me that He would bring about my complete deliverance and vindication, He also lovingly exhorted me to commit my way to Him so thatit could align with His right way forward.
So, in response to this perfectly wise Father, I released my process to Him.
And I learnt much.
So much more than before, friends.
With more insights in my spirit, more humility in my heart and more dependency on the Lord; I had many more arrows in my quiver.
Allow me to repeat myself.
This is how Jesus makes the devil pay.
Jesus started to emphatically teach me that though His Promise of victory will see to it that I come out on the other side stronger than I was when I went in, it does not mean that my feelings will magically line up.
More often than not, they don’t.
Though my spirit knows the Truth, my soul is often having a fit.
So what do I do?
I learn to demarcate between spirit and soul.
Between what I know to be the Truth based on what God is saying v/s the feelings that I am currently having which are based on the facts of my temporal circumstances.
As believers in Christ, we are given authority by the Lord to challenge the facts of our current circumstances by declaring the Truth of what God is saying.
Therefore, it naturally follows that the temporary state of my temporal circumstances is just that – temporal. It is now in fact, subject to change according to the eternal, everlasting Truth of God’s Word that will not only come to pass, but will endure forever.
“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”
(2 Corinthians 4:18)
So what I am getting at is this:
When we are willing to acknowledge our opinions and feelings for what they really are – just feelings and opinions – and readily exchange them with the Truth of what God says, then it is a sign that our soul is coming into alignment with God and is thus, being saved.
My soul says that this is how I am feeling _______________________________ .
But it is also willing to admit that these are just feelings, it is NOT Truth. Just because our feelings are real does not mean that they are right. They are after all, only feelings based on facts. But facts change because God moves in alignment with Truth, and eventually manifests it.
So even though I felt the giant was too big, I knew that it was no match for the bigness of my God. Even though I felt it was the end of everything, I knew that in the Kingdom, it was only a new beginning. Even though I felt abandoned and forsaken, I knew I was never alone for Jesus was with me every step of the way.
Feelings v/s Truth.
A divine demarcation.
So I am learning that the degree to which we are humble enough to admit that how we feel is not based on reality because reality is only determined by what our Holy God says,is the degree to which we will be able to trade them in for Truth and be healed, whole, saved, contented and at peace.
Coming out on the other side of the tunnel, I can attest to the fact that how we feel during a trial is often misleading. The only way through the valley of the shadow of death, is to hold on to the helm of His garment and fix our eyes on Jesus – the author and the perfector of our faith. As we humble ourselves under His mighty hand, He promises to take us by the hand and lead us forward, step-by-step, into His promise for our victory.
So as I draw to a close, friend; I will leave you in the Presence of the Lord with one question:
What mountain are you needing Him to move on your behalf today? How can you learn to partner with Him as He unfolds your triumph?
Let me lead you into a prayer to get started.
“Dear Lord Jesus,
I thank You that because of Your finished work on the Cross on my behalf, I am now a partaker of Your Victory, on earth as it is in Heaven. I thank You that in the power of Your Name, the enemy is defeated and I am now seated at Your right hand in heavenly places.
I thank You that You are the Sovereign Lord with whom nothing is impossible. So I ask, Lord that You would help me walk in Your promised victory for my life in the context of the challenges that are confronting me in this present day, time and season of my life.
I invite You to enlighten the eyes of my understanding by Your Spirit so that I can learn to partner effectively with You. Teach me to embrace the process of growth that You have for me through this phase. I trust that because You are fighting for me, I can surrender all my anxiety for Your Perfect Peace.
I also ask for Your help with my emotions and feelings in the process, Lord. As You hold the outcomes of my life securely in Your Faithful Hands, I declare that I will trust that despite what I feel, the Truth is that You have the power to do what You promise. Help my feelings to slowly line up with the Truth of that which You have spoken concerning me as Your Beloved Child and grace me to whole-heartedly receive it.
I thank You that You will not only see me through, Lord but make me better as a result of walking this out by faith in You. Honor and praise belong to You!
…”not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these…” (Matthew 6:29,NIV)
Today, I needed to pay a visit to the grocery store. As I walked back, I happened to come across these wonderful poppies. Basking in the sun, which was stronger than most days of late, they stood tall. They stood pretty. They stood like they owned the space. Drawn to their majesty, I couldn’t help but take a click, a click that eventually took me straight to the verse I’ve shared.
So I checked up. My research on Google informs me that when a plant needs to grow, it starts off as a tiny seed. This seed embedded in the moisture of the soil slowly begins to crack and grow roots. Once the roots are strong enough, the plant begins to emerge and then, it breaks through the soil; thereby embarking upon its journey of budding, blooming and blossoming forth.
Likewise for us.
We are the seed of Heaven, planted in the soil of our Father’s affection. His Love when experienced gives us the desire to now grow roots in the very soil that first, made us. Roots so strong that they provide a firm foundation for us to stand on and build upon. As our roots in The Father’s Love begin to get stronger still, He allows us to break through.
Just like this marvelous poppy plant seems to be effortlessly growing Heavenward, so do we.
Held within the arms of Perfect Love through all our vulnerabilities that are a vital part of our growth and development in Him, and rooted strongly in the very soil that birthed us; we too can bud, bloom and blossom forth. Just like this pretty poppy plant.
The seed never worries about the process of growth. I don’t imagine that it thinks to itself things like, “I wonder when I will finally become a plant and shine?”
No.
It simply rests in the soil and trusts the process. And as surely as it trusts, it grows.
Likewise with us.
Our process of growth in Christ will be made complete only on the other side. So while we are travelling as friends and pilgrims on a sacred journey on this side of Eternity, we can rest in Him, a rest that inevitably gives way to a simple child like trust.
Brings to mind the following verse,
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6, NIV)
When our roots in the soil of His affection will have gone deep enough, I believe we will find ourselves decreeing back to Him,
“Why would I lean on my own understanding when I can trust You?”
I trust You when You call me closer and take me deeper. I trust You when trials and tribulations come my way. I trust You when You call me into the unknown. I trust You when You are breaking through.
Because truth be told, the seed may break through the soil, but when The Soil decides to break through for His seed, there is nothing that can stop Him.
