Not losing sight

Hallelujah to The Hand that sets me free
And holds me close so tenderly
In the midst of the noise and confusion
Does He bring in clarity with my yes to His Word of submission.

Therein alone do I reign in full freedom
For He knows how to keep His Purpose central
After all, it’s for the sake of The Kingdom
That He is fierce, yet so gentle.

He takes me by the hand, lifting me higher and higher
I fix my gaze on Him alone where things look better and brighter
The clouds may not have yet cleared, but my vision certainly has
From blurry to lucid, He makes all the difference.

I will sit where He has seated me
Dangling my legs right next to my Father
Peering into His Face so I may find my own
His radiance and bliss that can melt the hardest stone.

The healing in His Presence
Far surpasses anything I’ve ever known
He tells me that He is for me
And that too, in the sweetest possible tone.

In His Light, all my questions die
As His glory reigns, trust takes over
Faith is renewed and passion reignited
For Jesus died so with my Father, I could be reunited.

All powerful

Because Your Name is unshaken
We cannot be shaken
Because Your Love is unfailing
We cannot be failed.

You see it all
And You stand victorious over it all
It may not yet seem what will appear
But You will make sure that it does appear.

Your roar is enough
To send it all crumbling to its knees
Your thunder will be felt
And the face of it all will have to melt.

The remnants will be spoils
That Your Victory has won
We will lift Your Name on high
Till our sound becomes one with that of Heaven.

We know who we are to You
More loved than we can fathom
Help us to rest in Your Strength
That has gone to war with all that has come as an amalgam.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We Thank You for who You are: the authority of Your Name, the integrity of Your Character and the infallibility of Your Word. We Thank You that You are for us and Your Heart is full towards us.

In the midst of what perhaps seems beyond human comprehension, we believe that You are still on The Throne and if You are never intimidated, then neither can we. But we do acknowledge our need to receive grace in our time of need for only You know how to breathe fresh courage into our souls and minister peace to our hearts. Help us to come to You, just as we are and we Thank You that as we surrender our disappointments, disillusionments, grief and sorrow to You, You are Faithful and ever so lovingly kind to bring in the river of healing and peace into the deepest crevices of our being, making us whole, every single time.

Help us to run to You first and seek Your wisdom and guidance in every situation as we pray for You to completely obliterate what has been plaguing the very world You spoke into existence.

Keep us anchored in Your Love, enamoured by Your Majesty and enveloped in Your Peace.

We love You, Lord and we thank You for what You will do in the days and weeks to come.

Asleep in the stern

A bit squally, a bit stormy
But You remind me
You slept in the back of the boat
So I take heed and make a note.

Peace is a gift from you to me
But also a part of You in me
So I will rest and be still
For the ground that we have lifted is now for You to till.

All the earth is Yours and the glory thereof
Reason enough to believe that You will come and show off
You’ll answer our prayers and petitions
With a sevenfold return on the harvest as it comes to fruition.

We may sow in tears
But will reap with joy
With armloads of blessings
That we’ll flaunt without a hint of being coy.

Meanwhile help us to remember
That Your Love for us is greater
Than any storm or any squall
So we will set our hearts on Yours that always does enthral.

Like a flock of birds
That fly overhead
Is the covering of Your canopy
Over us as we follow in Your stead.

The sky could be dark
But You will change it to a pleasant crimson
For the mercies of Your Grace are stark
Changing everything for You are Risen.

So we cannot be dead
And choose a better stance instead
We rise to the occasion
And glorify You until You settle the equation.

You paid a price for our Freedom
And promise to work all things for our good and Your glory
So help us to look beyond the immediate
And fix our gaze on The Ultimate.

More real than the world we are in
So we get down on our knees

And let You intervene so the rest shall be history.

With mighty displays of power
Dispel all darkness
For we need You in this day and hour.

Help us, guide us, support us
With constant affirmations of Your Love
This blue-green planet is Your garden
So whatever comes against, we pray to the side You shove.

We ask for wisdom, strength and faith
To move with You like never before
Watch these mountains crumble
For Your promises are till forevermore.

Keep us covered under the majesty of Your Mighty wings
You’re an oasis of peace and strength
Our one and only safe haven
The rest we keep at arm’s length.

You still the storm to a whisper
You hush the waves of the sea
So in the authority of Your Name
We will rest in the middle of the mystery.

For we’ve read the end of The Book
And we know full well that we win
So whatever has come or will
We declare You are well able to unhook.

Glorify Your Name
Do it once again
Certainly we will wait
For we are not taking any other bait.

You’re the glory and the lifter of my head
So I will bow in reverence
No need that You have not met
My confidence steadfast in Your unchanging Presence.

I leave the shallows behind
And bask in the sunshine of who You are
For things may come, and things may go
But my trust shall remain in The Father that You are.

A glorious friend too
I have found in You
You talk me through it all
Till all that doesn’t matter simply begins to fall.

But what remains is You
And You stand tall
Majestic and Supreme
So I run to answer my call.

For You give me courage
Cheering me on
Never failing nor faltering
But a Constant that I get to don.

The new man in Christ
Growing up into all things
I thought I knew it all
But You came and introduced me to eternal springs.

A deep well of eternal life
Bubbling up inside
What the world can’t give, nor can it take away
Is what You’ve freely given and it’s very much here to stay.

I’m popping in to say that in a time like none other, if there’s something that cuts through the dark and illuminates us from the inside out, it’s reminding ourselves of the, “Goodness of God.” I hope and pray that as you listen, He speaks to you in His own personal way and brings in His peace and comfort, and above all else, His Perfect Love which casts out all fear.
