Sunday simmers…

You go deep in Your Love
To set us free
For You have not given us a spirit of fear or timidity
But of power, love and a sound mind that is stayed on thee.

So we look unto You, our Christ
Leaving all things behind
Fixing our gaze on You
For You make all things new.

We will keep our lamps burning
For our Hope is alive in You
Walking with full assurance
That You will soon change the hue.

Revive Your Promises
Breathe afresh on them
We trust in Your unfailing goodness
For Great is Your Faithfulness.
❤️

I AM is

Your shoulders are broad enough
To carry our burdens
Your wings are large enough
To cover the waters.

Your arm is long enough
To pull us from the deep
Your heart is full enough
To meet our every need.

Your hands are loving enough
To hold our whole world
Your mercy is strong enough
To meet us at every curve.

Your touch is healing enough
To melt our fears
Your grace is sufficient enough
To sustain us when it seems a bit too near.

Your compassion is tender enough
To feel our infirmity
Your splendour is sure enough
To raise us up triumphantly.

Your promises are mighty enough
To be our song of victory
Your glory is weighty enough
To dispel all trickery.

Your nature is impeccable enough
To help us stake our lives on it
Your finished work is more than enough
To anchor us so we may never take a hit.

You’re enough, Lord.
Enough.

An oasis of Grace

Times that feel like we’re walking on eggshells
Are actually times that we’re walking on water
Times we doubt, we begin to sink
But immediately You reach out Your Hand before we reach the brink.

Your exhortation to have faith
Is an invitation into a journey
Unknown yet secure
For it’s held within Your Hands quite safely.

One day at a time we take it
Feeling Your pulse like You feel ours
Only want to remain in sync
With Your Love that is the very song we sing.

Things may change
So we ask for grace
For Your promises remain unyielding
And our lives, you are still building.

Keep us dreaming with You, Lord
To see healing and restoration
For Your Heart planted the garden we live in
So would You redeem us from this tailspin?

Egypt

Then I said to you, “Do not be terrified; do not be afraid of them. The Lord your God, who is going before you, will fight for you, as he did for you in Egypt, before your very eyes, and in the wilderness. There you saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a father carries his son, all the way you went until you reached this place.” (Deuteronomy 1:29-31)

Amen👑

Prophesy.

You’ve been far too kind, God
Held me close like a Father
Called me a little child
Never did You let me wander.

You’ve held me through a whisper
And graced me to hear
The voice that knows me by name
Setting me free from all my shame.

So now I boldly walk in freedom
That You’ve so passionately given
For He who lives within me
Is also the same who fights for me.

He doesn’t give up nor does He let go
His Love, firm and secure
He knows how to woo me
Back into the Heart that sets me free.

So over and over we go
Getting freer more and more
Chasing away all my fear
For it’s pure Love that calls me dear.

He who calls me royalty
Never slumbers nor sleeps
Says He will surely come through
Even if it’s a bit of a waiting.

He means what He says
His ways simply flawless
Knows me through and through
And says He is The God of Breakthrough.
🙌🏻

Unshaken.

A call for deeper intimacy and greater dependency
On the Truth that sets us free
So that as we journey
We can keep going from glory to glory.

For in Him, all things hold together
Regardless of the weather
Clear or stormy, He remains unchanging
So we can trust Him as He is rearranging.

All things for our good and His glory
That’s the theme song of our story
The pieces make sense in hindsight
Is why the just shall walk by faith, and not by sight.

For now we see in part
Later it shall all be revealed
The glory of Our King unveiled
In splendour and majesty.

Obscurity was something He embraced too
And grew in wisdom and stature
So when the time was ripe
He could step up and eventually departure.

No, He didn’t leave us alone
He gave us a helper
Immanuel, God with us
Is our one sure keeper.

We will need bucketloads of help
For armloads of blessing
Weeping may endure for a night
But joy cometh in the morning.

So let us magnify The Lord
His Name, above it all
Victory and power are His alone
And He is still reigning on His Throne.
